Sheryl Bathman’s counselling covers a broad range of issues including: marriage and couples counselling, individual counselling, cross-cultural relationships, infidelity, relocation, life transitions, personal growth, separation, divorce, grief, loss, mindfulness based stress reduction, anger management and co-dependency.

Sheryl uses an integrative approach, incorporating Psychodynamic, Cognitive-Behavioural, Object Relations and Mindfulness modalities. 

Sheryl’s qualifications include
  • Master’s Degree in Social Science Counselling, Edith Cowan University, Australia
  • Diploma in Counselling & Communication, The Australian College of Applied Psychology, Australia
  • Certificate in Counselling, Counselling & Psychological Resources (CPR), Singapore
  • Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Program instructor

Sheryl has been a counsellor and therapist in Singapore for eleven years.  For the past eight years she has operated her own private practice.  Prior to that, she was a counsellor and therapist in a group practice for four years; and a Behavioural Health Associate at Mt Elizabeth Hospital’s inpatient mental health facility for one year.

Before becoming a qualified counsellor, Sheryl worked for ten years in the corporate and finance sectors in Tokyo, New York and Sydney in global operations and career counselling. Sheryl speaks proficient Japanese.
