Sheryl Bathman provides counselling to individuals, couples and families from the local and expatriate communities covering a broad range of issues including: marriage and couples counselling, individual counselling, cross-cultural relationships, infidelity, relocation, life transitions, personal growth, separation, divorce, redundancy, grief, loss, stress, anger management, codependency and the impact of past events on present life.
An integrative approach is used incorporating psychodynamic, object-relations, gestalt and couple therapies as well as cognitive-behavioural modalities. Confidentiality is assured and professional ethical guidelines are followed at all times.
Sheryl holds a Masters Degree in Social Science Counselling from Edith Cowan University, Australia; a Diploma of Counselling; and a Certificate in Applied Counselling from The Australian College of Applied Psychology.
Sheryl is Australian and has lived in Asia for over fifteen years, having resided in Singapore since 1999. Her background includes over ten years' experience in the corporate and financial sectors in Tokyo, New York and Sydney in career-counselling, recruitment and human relations, as well as clinical experience working in an acute mental health inpatient facility and a group psychotherapy practice in Singapore.
Sheryl is a member of the Mental Health Committee of Singapore and speaks proficient Japanese.
